Starfish Space’s Otter Pup satellite was recently launched on a SpaceX rideshare mission with the goal of demonstrating autonomous satellite docking. It’s a very cool concept that, once proven, could enable satellites to be serviced in orbit or facilitate debris removal.

You can follow the recovery operations via their Twitter account. Satellites can be recovered in a scenario like this so hopefully things will work out. It’s a very cool project.
