- U.S. Space Force: As the newest branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, the U.S. Space Force is tasked with organizing, training, and equipping space forces in order to protect U.S. and allied interests in space and to provide space capabilities to the joint force.
- U.S. Space Command: U.S. Space Command conducts operations to deter aggression, defend U.S. and allied freedom of action in space, deliver space combat power for the joint/combined force, and develop joint warfighters to advance U.S. and allied interests in, through, and from the space domain.
- Space Development Agency: Tasked with defining and monitoring the Department of Defense’s future threat-driven space architecture and accelerating the development and fielding of new military space capabilities necessary to ensure U.S. technological and military advantage in space for national defense.
- Department of Defense Space Strategy: Outlines the Department of Defense’s plans to advance space power as a vital element of U.S. national security and deterrence strategy, ensuring freedom of operation in the space domain and providing space capabilities to the joint/combined force.
- National Reconnaissance Office: Responsible for the design, build, launch, and maintenance of America’s intelligence satellites. The NRO provides critical information to the U.S. Intelligence Community and Department of Defense regarding national security.
- North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO): An intergovernmental military alliance between 30 North American and European countries. The organization implements the North Atlantic Treaty that was signed on 4 April 1949.
- U.S. Department of Defense: The federal department charged with coordinating and supervising all agencies and functions of the government relating directly to national security and the United States armed forces.
- U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM): One of eleven unified commands in the Department of Defense, USSTRATCOM is responsible for the global command and control of U.S. strategic forces to meet decisive national security objectives.
- Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA): An agency of the U.S. Department of Defense responsible for the development of emerging technologies for use by the military.
- Missile Defense Agency (MDA): A research, development, and acquisition agency within the Department of Defense that develops, tests, and fields a ballistic missile defense system to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends against ballistic missile attacks.
- Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM): A unified combatant command of the U.S. Department of Defense with the mission to direct, synchronize, and coordinate cyberspace planning and operations to defend and advance national interests.
